COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Connecting people in our Neighborhood to Jesus
Draw the Circle: Prayer Walking Our Neighborhood

During the 40 days of Lent in 2025, our church community journeyed through Draw the Circle by Mark Batterson as our Lenten devotional. One of the core practices of this devotional was prayer walking—intentionally walking and praying over the places God has placed on our hearts. But prayer walking isn’t just for Lent. It’s a rhythm we want to continue as a church family.
So, what is prayer walking?
Prayer walking is a simple yet powerful way to connect with Jesus and intercede for our community. As we walk through neighborhoods, parks, schools, and apartment complexes, we pray quietly for the people, families, and spaces we pass. It’s about being present with God and available to however He might lead. Inspired by Jeremiah 29:7, we pray for the peace and welfare of our city—trusting that God is already at work.
We invite you to keep Drawing the Circle with us.
We’ve created a series of prayer walking guides for key areas around our neighborhood. You can download or print one, then walk and pray whenever you have time—whether it’s 10 minutes or an hour. Let’s continue covering our community in prayer and asking God to move in the lives of those around us.
