Welcome!

We are excited that you are considering being a part of a Connect Group at St. Michael. In these groups, we will connect through time in authentic community. We will experience growth and accountability as we intentionally process and put into action the truths we hear and learn each week. We will pray for each other, and we will be in fellowship through meals and shared experiences.

what does it mean to be a part of a connect group?

A Connect Group is a group that gathers with the intention of being with other Christians in order to share and process the habits and actions that Christ teaches those who follow Him. Taking time in prayer and fellowship is an important part of this time together as well.

It may seem like a lot, however, we believe that spiritual formation and discipleship happen in authentic community. Taking the time to gather and dwell in this consistent community is a powerful way to connect to Christ and those in His church.

how often will connect groups meet? (What is the commitment?)

We believe that there is value in meeting with your group often, even as frequently as once a week. Often gathering at a member's house to share in fellowship as well as dive into the teachings from the week. However, it is also possible that your group will arrange to meet every two weeks or once a month. This is entirely up to your group.

timeline

Starting November 2022 we will begin to collect names and preferences of people who are wanting to get engaged in a connect group.

During December 2022, we will be getting people into groups and reaching out to leader teams for each group.

Beginning in January 2023, your group will begin to connect!

do i have to decide now?

Definitely not! Anytime you are ready to join a connect group, let us know and we will help you get connected.

Do you need leaders?

Yes! Each group will need people who are willing to facilitate meeting times and locations. They will also be helping to facilitate the discussions. You will be trained and equipped to lead the group. If you think that God may be leading you to lead a group let us know on the form and we will get connected with you.
